Supporting Academic Success

The J. Fred Green Award is awarded annually to the top-ranked scholarship recipient by the Phi Delta Theta Canadian Foundation. The award was first granted in 1996 by the Canadian Foundation in recognition of Brother J. Fred Green’s (Toronto ‘30) long-standing contribution to the Canadian fraternity.

Brother Green was initiated on November 15, 1926 at the Ontario Alpha chapter in Toronto. He was one of the founders of the Canadian Phi Delta Theta Scholarship Foundation in 1974, a Chapter Advisor, Toronto Alumni Club Secretary (1996-2004), Province President (1989-1994) and was recognized by the general fraternity in 1986 as a Legion of Merit recipient which was conferred at the General Convention in Toronto. Brother Green entered the Chapter Grand on January 30, 2004.
